PPC stands for Pay Per Click and it is an advertising format in which designated search engines earn revenue each time a visitor clicks on an ad belonging to the advertiser. PPC is an ideal advertising model for businesses because they only pay for targeted traffic.
PPC is an effective way to attract cheap and predictable traffic to a website.
The success of PPC derives from the fact that many businesses have seen actual improvement in their website traffic after placing adverts with PPC engines like Overture and Findwhat. Companies are especially pleased with this type of low cost advertising in which an amount as low as $0.10 can fetch a company over $10,000 worth in sales.
To use PPC advertising, a business will have to obtain an account with the PPC search engine and deposit some money there. From there, the business, sometimes with relevant tools, develops a site URL, title and description, and then bid on relevant keywords according to its budget and strategy.
